It's the 8th day... dun dun dun...
Numbers: part 1.
We're actually going to be working on numbers for the next couple of days. You may hate me in 3 days.

Numbers 1 - 10 are pretty simple, then 11 - 19 are a little more complex. Not too bad, just not what you would think.
I love counting in ASL because you use just one hand and you can count as high as your little brain will let you count. Which is awesome when you're trying to keep track of a bunch of items you're counting.

Numbers are signs you really want to practice in front of the mirror. They can be easy to sign, but can be hard to understand when they're being signed to you.
Not because they're difficult, but because you have to switch your brain over from thinking about words to numbers in the middle of a conversation. So they can be easy to miss.
Often people will sign NUMBER before signing the actual number to bring attention to it so it's not missed.
Other times the context of the number is signed (phone number, money, price, time, etc), but those are different lessons that we'll go over in future lessons.
For now, get the numbers down!
Let me know which ones you're having a hard time with and I'd love to help!
Have you signed up to receive the practice sheets? Shock and horror!!! You haven't!?!
Here, you can fix it before I pass out:
